About the tour
The Isle of Man is a unique blend of unspoiled coastal landscapes, sandy beaches, and stunning scenery. The rich Celtic heritage is evident all over the island, and we experience it as we ride vintage railways, explore historic towns, and enjoy the relaxed pace of life.
Each day is an adventure of picturesque landscapes and captivating history as we journey on a horse-drawn tram down Douglas promenade, explore Peel's medieval castle, and soak up the natural beauty of the Calf of Man. This captivating island promises a getaway of culture, beauty and restoring fresh air.

Itinerary
Our holiday begins when we meet our Tour Manager and the rest of our group in Heysham, Lancashire before boarding the early afternoon ferry that takes us to the Isle of Man. As we sail across the Irish Sea, on a clear day we can enjoy expansive views during our crossing, while keeping an eye out for seabirds, and possibly spotting dolphins if we are lucky.
We catch our first glimpse of the Isle of Man's gentle rolling landscapes as we approach Douglas. Stepping off the ferry in the early evening, we take a short stroll along the waterfront, passing an impressive parade of Victorian buildings to the Claremont Hotel, where we stay for the next five nights. After checking in, there's time to settle in to our rooms, before we gather again for dinner.

Andrew was a superb manager, keeping us informed at all times, meaning a worry free experience. Having passes to both transport and attractions gave us a comprehensive choice, and a variety of experiences. Kevin, the bus driver, was a star, and the TT commentary brought the event to life. The more people with local knowledge the better the experience.

The sea front hotel is in the main town of Douglas on a lovely wide promenade about one and a half miles long around a sweeping bay. Attractive island to visit. As well as steam train rides there was an electric train ride up the mountain. Also there were coach tours around the island including part of the TT race circuit.
